A thermocouple is an electrical device consisting of two dissimilar electrical conductors forming an electrical junction, that produce a voltage (expressed in millivolts) with a change in temperature. A thermocouple can measure a wide range of temperature. They produce electric currents, so they’re beneficial for operating automatic senses.
Transition Joint Conventional Assembly thermocouple sensors are lightweight Built with rugged transition joints, this thermocouple sensor measures temperatures between -50 and 250°C. It comes with rugged transition joint connections and compacted magnesium oxide (MgO), which protects the thermocouple assembly from vibrations and increases.
The thermocouple Probe–Plug and Jack Connector is constructed with a Stainless Steel case. The sensing element is embedded into the tip of the sheath. With the element located in the tip of the case this is the area that needs to be in contact with the process to obtain correct temperature measurement. Fittings associated with the probe designs are related to the mounting technique required by your application.
Spare Insert thermocouple is used as spare or replacement thermocouple element in existing thermocouple assembly with thermowell protection tubes. The mineral insulation structure enables flexibility & durability. It is available in various sheath diameter & sheath materials.
Skin Type thermocouple is designed to measure the temperature of the pipe or tank surface. It is tied to the surface of the body to which temperature is to be measured through an insulating pad so that it collects temperature. Generally, they are used where rapid detection of temperature is required and there is no way to apply the immersive method of temperature measurement.
Multi-point thermocouple are used to measure more than one temperature point through a single access point. The sensor has multiple temperatures input along the length of the sensor to calculate an accurate temperature profile. These sensors are mostly used in chemical and petroleum industries for temperature profiling of reactors, crackers, and liquefied gas in tanks.
